Simple Soft Serve at Softies

A big, long line at Softies is an iconic image of summer in Billings.  When the weather heats up, this local hot spot (err, cold  spot?) is bustling non-stop and you will likely run into a friend while you’re there.

Softies is unpretentious as far as ice cream shops go.  There’s really no gimmick to their soft serve, it’s just simple and delicious and their prices are very affordable.  My family of 3 indulged in ice cream treats for just over $5!

Dipped cones, chocolate covered frozen bananas, slushies, blizzits, flavor burst ice cream, and soft serve yogurt are just a few of Softies’ specialties.

Sometimes all you really need is a simple vanilla cone as you can see my daughter enjoyed this evening.

There’s also something just a little more “summery” about Softies as you order and wait for your treat outside while you soak up the warm weather.  The heat actually makes your cold treat taste even better.

Softies is open from Spring to Fall and is located on the corner of 24th and Broadwater.  You can find their page on Facebook to stay tuned for their opening and closing dates each season.
