It’s all about HALLOWEEN!

Well, Halloween isn’t until next Wednesday but this weekend the festivities will begin. Here’s a quick rundown of the Halloween events you can partake in:
Haunted Houses
The Haunted House at Moss Mansion -The Moss Mansion sets the stage for spooky delight every Halloween as the grounds are transformed into a labyrinth of thrills and chills. This haunted experience is this Friday and Saturday night, October 26th and 27th, as well as next Tuesday and Wednesday, October 30th and 31st from 6pm to 10pm. Cost is $5 per person. The Moss Mansion will also be offering spooky Twilight Tours of the mansion on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Two Moon Haunted Hallow – Are you afraid of the dark? Let’s hope not! The Billings Jaycees present Two Moon Haunted Hallow at Two Moon Park on October 26th and 27th and on Halloween, the 31st from 6pm to 10pm. The cost is $10.
Haunted Ghost Town Tour – This Friday and Saturday, October 26th and 27th, Yellowstone County 4-H offers a tour of the haunted town at Oscar’s Dreamland park. Hours are from 7pm to 10pm and cost is $6 or $5 with a food donation.
Haunted House – School of Misfits - The Boys and Girls Club hosts its first annual haunted house this Friday and Saturday and on Halloween night at the Bair Family Club House from 6pm to 10pm. Cost is $5 per person and the event also includes fun for kids like face painting, bean bag toss, and more.
Truly Spooky
Raising Our Spirits - Interested in the paranormal? Do you watch all of those ghost hunting shows on TV? Well, then here is your chance to experience a real ghost hunt in person! The Western Heritage Center is hosting “Raising Our Spirits” this Saturday night and is working with the Montana Paranormal Research society to bring in real ghost hunters and the latest technologies used for recording paranormal activity. The 4pm event includes a program and ghost hunt and is just $25 and the 8pm event includes a cocktail reception in addition to the ghost hunt, a tote bag and is $50. Tickets are tax deductible too!
Historic Haunting Tours - If you are in the mood to check out some of the most haunted places in Billings, Montana Fun Adventure Tours offers it’s Historic Haunting Tour from October 27th – 31st. This tour starts at the haunted Dude Rancher Lodge and takes you around various haunted establishments around Billings. They have tours available at 7pm and 8:30pm. They encourage you to form a group of up to 13 people. If you don’t have quite that many, they’ll try to group interested individuals into larger groups. Are there Really Ghosts at Ghost Cave? - This spooky program is led by Pictograph Cave State Park staff and volunteers on Saturday, October 27th at 7pm. It’s an outdoor program that begins in the picnic area and follows the park loop trail…by flashlight! And best of all, it’s free to Montana residents!
For the Kiddos
Ghosts at Garfield – This event takes place at the Garfield Community Center and includes a costume contest, indoor trick or treating, a movie room, coloring and more fun for kids. The event is a cooperation of MSU Billings, the Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch, and Phillips Billings Refinery.
Boo at the Zoo - Enjoy vendors, great food, kid’s games animal shows and of course, trick or treating at ZooMontana from 10am to 4pm. Admission is free for zoo members and regular admission applies for non-members.
Downtown Trick or Treat – Downtown Billings offers Trick or Treating for kids from 12 noon to 5pm. Dress the little ones up and visit the merchants for candy!
Rimrock Mall Trick or Treat – After you fill your candy bucket Downtown, you can head over to Rimrock Mall for even more trick or treating fun! Begins at 5:30pm and lasts until candy runs out.
Candy Jam – The all new, Elevation Church, in the Billings Heights hosts Candy Jam, an alternative to Halloween, on October 31st from 5:30 pm to 8pm at Skyview High School’s lower gym. This event will feature tons of candy along with a bounce house, games, live music and more family fun. Kids costumes are allowed but they simply ask that they be modest. This event is free.
Candy Run – Faith Chapel hosts their annual free Candy Run on October 31st from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Visit the different themed zones like Star Wars, Angry Birds and more and fill up on candy!
Just Plain Fun
Zombie Tag – Big Brothers Big Sisters hosts its first annual Zombie Tag at North Park this Saturday at 2pm. Come as a zombie or as a human and prepare for an intense game of tag. Zombies will be trying to turn humans into zombies and humans will be trying to “kill” zombies. There will be food, merch, and prizes! Cost is $15.
