A Thanksgiving Morning Downtown

November 22, 2012 @ 11:58 am by jodie

The downtown area was alive with energy this morning as a contingent of the Billings community hauled themselves out of bed to get some exercise.

The Yellowstone Rimrunners organized the second annual Run Turkey Run 5k to benefit The Billings Food Bank. They had a strong turnout with a few cleverly costumed runners! While I’m sure they raised a decent amount of money, the food bank can always use more donations.

Limber Tree Yoga Studio was offering two donation only classes this morning. I attended NIA taught by Aimee Carlson accompanied by Rick Byam on a hand drum. We had fun dancing and swirling around while watching the runners blast by the studio. If you find you want a bit of yoga tomorrow or NIA- there are yoga classes at 10 a.m., noon and NIA at 1 p.m..

Nice work Billings getting out and moving and even benefitting a good cause!

From all of us at Billings 365:  Have a very Happy Thanksgiving filled with love and gratefulness!
