Celebrate Mardi Gras
Tis the season to party New Orleans style! This Tuesday is Mardi Gras / Fat Tuesday. Here are a few things happening around town to help you celebrate!
1) Mardi Gras Montana
A benefit for the Billings Food Bank, Mardi Gras Montana features appetizers, a no-host bar, gourmet dinner with oysters, shrimp and crawfish and a silent and live auction. Come in a costume or be casual, it’s up to you! The event takes place at the Billings Hotel and Convention Center and tickets are $50 per person.
2) Hooligan’s Fat Tuesday Party
The next best thing to Bourbon Street, Hooligan’s Fat Tuesday Party will feature DJ Danny Tellez spinning the hottest tracks. Hot 101.9 will be there too and there will be plenty of chances to win some great prizes.
3) Mardi Gras at The Vig
Celebrate Mardi Gras in the Heights at the brand new, The Vig Alehouse. They’ll help you get into the festivities with specials on the menu including a crawfish boil with roasted bakers & baby corn with jalepeno hushpuppies; Scherry’s deep southern gumbo with shrimp, chicken and andouille sausage served over French bread; and the lunch special is soft crab po’boys!
4) Tiny’s Fat Tuesday Party
Tiny’s will be serving up a buffet of Fat Tuesday fare including shrimp creole, jumbalaya, and gumbo. They’ll have beads and masks for the fun and “hurricanes” on special.
5) Mardi Gras at Manny’s Sports & Entertainment
Celebrate the night with live rock music at Manny’s with Third Street Band. Slush drinks on special for just $4 and jello shots will be available too. And of course they’ll have beads and masks too!
5) Fat Tuesday Pub Crawl in Downtown Billings
A benefit for the Pam Miller Cancer Fund, this annual pub crawl visits several of your favorite downtown bars. The evening will begin at The Rex at 4:30pm and end at Hooligan’s as the last stop at 10pm. At each location you’ll need to purchase a wristband for $5 to partake in the festivities. 6) Mask Zoorade at Zoo Montana
If celebrating on a Tuesday night isn’t your speed, then you can wait and celebrate Mardi Gras on March 19th with Zoo Montana (and benefit a great cause while you’re at it). Mask Zoorade is a animal themed masquerade party to benefit the Zoo complete with great food, dancing and more! Last I heard there were only a few tickets left so if you’re interested, you better call 652-8100 right away and reserve your spot!
