Maple Spice Latte at Off The Leaf in Billings

Maple Spice Latte at Off The Leaf

About a week ago, I had a meeting with a new potential blogger at Off the Leaf.  Still in the mood for something fall-ish but a bit “pumpkined” out, I asked the barista what other fall flavors they had.  She rattled off a few (including pumpkin) but when I heard “maple,” I decided that’s what I would try.  “In a go cup or to stay?” she asked, and whenever at Off the Leaf, I have to get it to stay.  My latte just seems like an even more special treat when served with such a beautiful frothy piece of art on top.  (I also enjoy the giant mugs…it makes me feel like I’m on an episode of “Friends.”)

The Maple Spice Latte did not disappoint.  It had just the right level of sweetness for an afternoon indulgence.  The maple flavor wasn’t too overpowering or “syrupy;” it had just a hint.  If they’re still serving this flavor, I’d highly recommend it.

I suppose that since it is now December, it’s time to find a winter flavor.  I see a lot of peppermint which isn’t my favorite flavor.  I’ll be on the lookout for a new seasonal favorite.  If you know of something in town I should try, feel free to leave a suggestion in the comments below.

Off the Leaf is located at 819 Grand Ave.

Jessica has called Billings home for over 10 years. She enjoys taking her kids out to the local parks or to the zoo followed by a stop for some self-serve yogurt. When she gets to enjoy a night out with her husband, they enjoy supporting live music and comedy and dinner and drinks at a local eatery.

Cooney Reservoir Offers a Variety of Activities

Living in a semi-arid region means there are not too many lakes near Billings.  To compensate, some of the small streams that naturally run from the mountains to the prairies have been dammed up creating reservoirs.  Cooney Reservoir is one such place, and it is close enough that you can just get away for the afternoon if that is all... read more »
