Do the Shutterbug!
Last Saturday, I had the opportunity to attend a photo exhibition put on by the Montana Shutterbug Association. The event was held at Harper and Madison, an outstanding looking bakery/cafe located on 10th Avenue (I say outstanding looking bakery because unfortunately, I did not get a chance to sample their tasty wares, but I was impressed enough with the menu and location, want to return!). The exhibition focused predominantly on photography depicting Montana’s wildlife and natural beauty (right up my alley!).
The Montana Shutterbugs are a local association of photographers ranging from professionals to point-and-shoot photo enthusiasts. For a modest annual membership fee, anybody who loves photography can join and take advantage of the monthly meet-ups and frequent photo outings. The group consists of around 70 members, and it is a good way to learn new skills with photography. Their website features galleries, contests, forums, and all sorts of other goodies for members, so if you’re looking to learn some more about photography and hang out with like-minded individuals, come check them out! (I very well may do so myself!)
